So, I did the National Novel Writing Month, which takes place in November, a couple of years ago, which is when I jotted down Kiss Me Dead. Granted, the finished product didn't look anything like what I'd furiously written down during that month, but it was the jumping off point. And of course, that novel eventually ended up with Soul Mate Publishing. Sa-weet!
I've decided to take the plunge again to write a sequel to KMD, called The Reaper's Kiss. It started off very rocky, but now I found my sweet spot and have been writing away. I've been extremely busy with a new job and writing has been taking a back-seat...I'm hoping NANO is the push I needed to get down to some serious writing again.
Just so ya know, this one's turning out a little steamier than all my previous books. It's really been taking a life of its own.
I've decided that ever day, I'm going to post little snippets of what I've written. Teasers, if you will. This particular snippet was written on Wednesday.
Enjoy!

He knew he should leave, but he couldn't. Her lust stung his tongue with an open invitation, pulse pounding so loud he could hear her heart, her temperature rising to undeniable, irresistible degrees. Body shaking, his resolve weakened as her soul bonded to him, the sultry pull too strong a current to resist.
William's gaze tracked to her lips. All he needed was skin-to-skin contact to pull a soul from its body, but he typically enjoyed taking it with a kiss, the sensual meeting of tongues an added aphrodisiac to the high-inducing soul. Just thinking about it brought the dark need past the point of no return. He could no longer control the trembling, the desire. She should have left when she had the chance.
"I'm so sorry," he murmured.
William crushed her lips with his own and thrust his tongue into her mouth, sliding over her soft warmth. Her soul seeped through her pores, her lips, filling him with sweet heat. Whimpering against his mouth, she fisted his hair and slid one long, shapely leg around his thigh.
Groaning, he pressed her to the wall, grinding his hips against hers, sucking at her mouth and tongue, her soul easing into him. Oh gods, the warmth made his heady dizzy, banishing the coldness within him. For a brief moment, his darkness faded.
She shivered, her skin growing cold. Her lips went slack, as did her body. Still entwined, they slid to the ground, and William forgot about the dying girl in his arms as he lost himself to ecstasy.
