Between carting the kids off to new schools, and being inundated at work with a gargantuan project (which has taken over my LIFE), I have been busy on the writing front as well. Good busy.
On the Last Moon Rising front:
1. I saw the first draft of my new Strong Blood cover...just going through some final changes there.
2. I'm pecking away at the 3rd installment, Water Over Blood, which I *plan* on releasing in September...just doing the final edits and read-through and waiting for my cover. I'm pleased as punch on my new covers, by the way.
3. And, I'm writing the last installment, Blood Tied. For some reason, the writing is going slow. It could be because I lost all of my notes and outlines in the Great Computer Frying of 2009. It could be because I lost all my maps and family trees related to the characters (I can't blame that one on the computer...I just plain ole misplaced them in my wonderful filing system). Or it could be because I'm finally typing up this series after starting that first draft 16 years ago. It's been a lifetime! But as much as I say I'm ready to wrap it up and move on to other projects...am I? I say, I'll miss Tuggin especially. As the author, can I admit to having a favorite? In that case, ignore what I just wrote. :)
And in other news... I have signed a contract with Soul Mate Publishing to publish Kiss Me Dead! I'm super excited and tweaked! It will be on their New Adult listing, a paranormal romance. More information on that process to come.
