So, yeah, it's been a while since I've posted. In my defense, I've been very busy, hence exhausted! Which at this point you're probably saying, so what? We're all busy!
And we are. Today's fast-paced life doesn't seem to leave much room for the pleasures in life we used to enjoy. Like reading. Taking walks. Sitting outside for a family barbecue. And for me...it's my writing that suffers.
Promotion at work. Busy.
School starting. Busy.
Doctor appointments, vet appointments, home remodeling...busy, busy, busy!
By the evening, I'm too exhausted to write, and can usually only snatch an hour in the morning before work. Weekends are a good time to write, except for the house-cleaning, laundry, cooking, grocery shopping, reading, reviewing, blogging. Sigh.
I had planned to submit my next novel to my publisher LAST APRIL. It's now September. I'm proud to say I *finally* submitted the manuscript yesterday. Now the stomach churning and nail-biting begins as I wait those long weeks to hear back. I'm hoping for good news!
And now, a writer's fingers are never idle. It's time to start sketching out my next book. I'm feeling some druid love! Yes, I think I'll take a break from reapers and do something new.
