Press Release:
Local Author Helps Restock Libraries Damaged by Hurricane Sandy
New Hartford, April 18, 2013 – Local author Dale Ibitz’s books are on their way to New York City as part of the effort to restock libraries destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. Fire in the Blood and Strong Blood, the 1st and 2nd books in the Last Moon Rising series, has been shipped after being vetted by Indie Authors for Hurricane Sandy Libraries, a group established in November 2012 by author K. S. Brooks. There are over seventy authors from all over the world participating in the group and over 200 books have already been received by libraries in need in the tri-state area of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.
“This is a great opportunity to connect libraries in need to authors willing to donate books. We work closely with the library systems to make certain they receive the genres they need,” says group founder K. S. Brooks. “We’re happy to have Dale Ibitz as part of our effort. Her generosity, which includes absorbing all related costs, is much appreciated.”
